Come from Tilburg, the Netherlands. Have been doing XP in a real project once and did some ExtremeLego sessions with PaulS. Have been acting as an Architect/Developer on a monsterous project (80-150 people on 3-4 sites around the globe) for the past two years. Found it very difficult to introduce XP practices there. Am working at on a small research and development team and apply XP there. Quite succesfull ther on:

• Retrofitting unit (200+) and other (150) automated tests in a few months;
• On-site customer;
• Continuous integration;
• Short releases;
• Pairing;
• Refactoring;
• Planning Game;
• Coding standards - huh!
• Collective owner ship - easy we´re with so few.

• Simple Design; Not rigourous enough (courage?) in thowing existin non-tested NotForNowCode?.

• Metaphore; Did not define one really. Although now that i think of it we might - it´s secret though.
• 40 Hour workweek; I am trying ;-)
• Measuring Team/Project velocity
