Dec 4, 2003 PaulOldfield fresh from an AgileScotland meet with speakers MaryPoppendieck and MartinFowler, and feeling keen Jun 26, 2003 RogerLuo? - Doing XP for internet bank - visiting this site for more info on XP Mar 21, 2003 MalcolmCleaton - Random good developer interested in learning about things and planning to pay a visit soon. Feb 26, 2003 Bill Stott - a suggestion: why not collect email addresses of people interested in hearing more about the activities of XPD? July 2, 2002 VanEmmenis - (Grizzled old Smalltalker) Have turned up to a couple of sessions. Interesting stuff. June 13, 2002 LaurentBossavit - Have seen a page here and a page there before, but now I'm getting the feel of this Wiki in preparation to paying the London XP folks a visit - and, I hope, visits plural. The travel part is going to be tricky - EuroStar? fares from Paris are armed robbery pure and simple. Low-cost flight with EasyJet? looks interesting, but I'm not sure how easy it is to get from Luton airport to the XTC's pub. April 10, 2002 MikeRoberts - Went to my first XtC last night - much food for thought! April 5, 2000 NeilThorne - I've been Xping in fits and starts for over a year now. I've never been to XTC but will be on the 09/04/2002 (if it's on!). I'm an undercover XPer at work whose just started to break the surface after setting up a CruiseControl build process. February 6, 2002 MikeNew - I've been coming to XTC for the last four weeks (I'm the tallish Canadian who knows little about XP). Anxious to get some XP practices into, well, practice. Have started down that road... December 17, 2001 JonathanLee - I've been lurking here for a while but, after attending the recent XpDay, thought it might be time to 'go public'. I haven't managed to do XP (yet) but have been doing TestFirstDesign for some time at a personal level. As a ardent modeller, I'm very interested in AgileModelling and probably spoke too much at the AgileModellingBoF at the XpDay. May 30th, 2001 StefanScherer - Thanks to TimM and SteveFreeman for the ExtremeLego workshop at the XP2001 conference! I'm very new to XP, but after having so much fun in these few days, it is now time for DoingIt. May 29th, 2001 RoyMiller - XP2001 was my first international XP conference, and I wasn't disappointed. It was great to meet the UK crowd. OliBye's work on exposing the VAJ Repository to other tools was probably worth the price of admission. The Lego session was the most fun I've ever had a conference, although my customer (TimM) was a little silly by the end - beer and Legos make interesting bedfellows. I hope to see all of you at XpUniverse. And each of you is morally obligated to purchase 10 copies of XP Applied when it gets published. In exchange, I promise to drop by the pub when I'm in London. Good trade? May 28th, 2001 ShaunSmith - I attended XP2001 and saw OliBye's t-shirt for this site which I thought I'd check out. TimM and I had an interesting session in the bar at XP2001 comparing our approaches to testing. What better place! We debated the utility of MockObjects and decided (at least I did) that MockObjects are a very useful technique but do not solve all testing problems. I also attended an accelerated ExtremeLego session and had an excellent time (and maybe even learned something). April 26th, 2001 JosephPelrine - TimM pointed out this site to me, and I think it's a great idea. I'll be in London on Tuesday, June 19, 2001, talking about XP (for money) at the annual SIGS bash - called WirelessOne this year. Afterwards, I'd like to drop by to XtC and talk about XP (for free, or for beer) with anyone interested in conversing. I'd also be happy to demo my work on TestResources? and ExtensibleTestCases?. April 9th, 2001 MattStephenson - The output from the "Extreme Programming in the Real World" session that I ran with Stephen Hutchinson is now available on the OT2001 website (look in the discussion - recent changes and you'll find us at the bottom)... Any comments very welcome. April 6th, 2001 RobWestgeest - Joined in on the eXtremeHour for the first time at OT2001. Did some of the XP practices on a small project (5p - 6 months). Trying to start some practices on a bigger project. John D'Arcy - Trying to get XP principles introduced here in Copenhagen, Denmark. Join the crusade. 40 hour week, regression testing, refactoring... Projects OTACE (On Time and Above Customer Expectation). Code and weep!. March 28th, 2001 MarkNankman - XP interests me a lot. I have been following XP in the last 2 years, and it is good to see that it is spreading more and more. By the way, did you know that XP has a lot in common with the DynamicSystemsDevelopmentMethod (DSDM)? March 16th, 2001 MilesDaffin? - Just returned from challenging 1.5 yrs doing Java in Rotterdam. Read TheBook, talked the talk and now looking to become a XpApprentice - or bust. I will be there - XtC27032001. March 8th, 2001 TimBacon - Where have u been hiding? (And I thought I was alone in my eXtreme beliefs!) Can't wait to come and meet the crew at XtC13032001 :-))) February 27th, 2001 [email protected] - Anyone doing XP in North West England? February 5th, 2001 AlexCraxton - Has anybody noticed the rumours that Microsoft are going to name future windows and office products Windows XP and Office XP ... no surely it cant be because ... November 29th, 2000 [email protected] - I've read the books, Surfed the web, and no one i've worked with has hurd of XP, so pairing up for practice is... difficult. If anyone knows another Xp'er at CSFB please write. November 28th, 2000 [email protected] - I have just discovered XP, 2 weeks ago, I have now got two of the three Kent Beck books and have started prowling the known sites. I have a project in mind to start as an XP project in two weeks time. Has anybody done a booking system with XP yet?? Alex Hunt Webscript Designs Ltd November 16, 2000 [email protected] - Any chance of XtC being replicated a little Northwards, towards Birmingham maybe? Or Coventry for that matter... October 20, 2000 [email protected] - Hey, somebody out there actually wants to write software that meets the customers requirements ... we'll all be out of a job :-) Hope to see a few at some of the XtC meetings in future. October 19, 2000 [email protected] - I really hope to test all this in a real project some time. OTOH my co-workers will not understand it (they are old fashioned C spaghetti coders). October 11, 2000 [email protected] - Fascinated by XP. Still trying to figure out the details of it. Wishing to print out the final draft of XP Installed. ;-) October 9, 2000 [email protected] - XP is the only way. Have been using it with Smalltalk and, later, Java for a long time (whilst still in South Africa!). Struggling to find contracts/jobs in London where they'd let me use it! July 22, 2000 Very interesting.. June 26, 2000 [email protected] - Met SteveFreeman, TimM and IvanMoore at XP2000. Nice work all around. May 21, 2000 [email protected] - Attempting XP at my company and trying to uninstall MS Project from my machine. Apr 13, 2000 IanHolmes - using this as an example wiki Apr 6, 2000 MarkSkipper - I did ExtremeLego at OT-2000 where I also lead a tutorial on AspectOrientedProgramming with AspectJ, and subsequently co-ran a birds-of-a-feather session on XPmeetsAOP with TimM Mar 13, 2000 [email protected] - After 20 years of heavy process (DEC/Compaq), XP is refreshing and a little unnerving. Feb 22, 2000 [email protected] - Sidetracked from CMM - always open to a better way! Feb 17, 2000 [email protected] - Learning an excellent process for software development Feb 15, 2000 kimptoc aka ChrisKimpton - Trying to find out how tied to VisualAge JUnitCreator is... Feb 08, 2000 [email protected] -- Very Nice. Went in search of the 'RealCode'!? I'm looking for a vicarious eXPerience.
