Some people like to leave comments without identifying themselves... I personally believe that expressing an opinion or raising a question without identifying yourself is impolite. I guess that being part of a Wiki community requires a common understanding of the WikiEtiquette for that community -- TimBacon. And when a community does not have a well-defined, explicitly stated etiquette, then the long standing conventions of the wikis at large is a good fallback. Unsigned postings to wikis are considered quite acceptable on almost every wiki, and always have been. -- An anonymous person believes that this posting without identifying yourself? is entirely fine, and quite right and proper. Decorating anonymous contributions with a link to this page is utterly redundant: anyone reading the anonymous contribution can tell that it was written by some anonymous person since there is no name attached to it. That's what "anonymous" means --SomeAnonymousPerson But ,I can't disagree with you, as I don't know who you are. I don't have any idea what other interesting statements you may have made elsewhere, I have to judge it for what it is. I respect that the statement is valid, indeed, I agree with the statement. I think it's unlikely that anonymous statements would be decorated by the Author signing as SomeAnonymousPerson. I often decorate the statements later to rib the Author (as above). I've realised I do this anonymously -- OliBye. Sometimes it's useful to distinguish between sections of text, some written by SomeAnonymousPerson and some written by SomeoneElse.
