Who's coming this week?
- PaulS - wlt float an idea for introducing XP in BigCo? Ltd, looking for lots of criticism.
- SteveF. Is good at criticism ;-)
- PiersCawley? - first timer, possibly showing off the beginnings of a Perl RefactoringBrowser?. Does it have tests? If not, we're not interested! ;-) "Yup"
- DaveKirby
- SvenH - eagerly awaiting PaulS' idea...
- NatPryce will come for the XPDay planning, but will have to leave early.
- KarlS - interested in meeting Piers and talking about Perl and XP
Who's not
- Probably not Ivan (does he ever?) - for once, IvanM might well turn up - and he did
Amongst other things we discussed
- CruelAndUnusualLanguages - scary things like Intercal, Befunge and Brainf*ck
- Thanks for the feedback on introducing XP in BigCo? Ltd, I didn't cover as much as I wanted to ( we got a little Perled over :-) )so maybe expect to revisit later. Most people felt happy about the sell to customers, and mostly the same selling to project managers. The team often have the hardest sell. Best feedback was to run more than one iteration for each team, as iteration 0 isn't enough - thanks Piers.
Some of what Paul suggested reminded me of the following article: http://www.foresight.org/SrAssoc/99Gathering/lta_toc.html -- DaveKirby
