What happened?

JamesCollins gave us an insight into the famous DOIT project at FirstUnion?, and got us all thinking about whether XP has solved the usual programming communication issues, and that now the top 10 issues are to do with deployment, operation and configuration.

Can we write tests and create a "green bar" for deployment? Does XP help by iteratively deploying to reduce this risk?
