The idea is that you'll be able to ask questions of experts on line. Or arrange a pub to meet at after work.

• Jabber supports irc style chat rooms. Further more these rooms can be persistent, so when you join you see the last N messages. I'll try to make the logs visible on the web.

• Jabber support gateways, the xpd server is running a yahoo gateway, so I can talk to my yahoo contacts from inside my jabber client.

You will have to register with the xpd server. Ok, but how?, Ok I've fixed the registration now -- OliBye I've had to delete the attempts at registration so far.
