When looking for a new project, or a new employer, there must be a good set of questions to ask to ensure you are joining the best XP project yet. List them here: What benefits do you think XP/Agile will bring? What is my role in the project? How many of the team haven't yet bought-in to the idea? Just to be sure, you don't mean a new operating system? Can I pair-program with a few of your developers? (I offer this to applicants I interview) Ask to meet the customer, how much time can they give to the project? My former PhD supervisor used to get visited by angst-ridden undergraduates in the few days leading up to his "Theory of Programming Languages" exams. He said that he didn't mind clearing up technical points for those who were keen, but he didn't want to waste time on lazy students. He said that when he was younger he used to quiz them to find out if they were worth the time. Nowadays, he just asks them: Are you any good? --DafyddRees
