XPEgroupInYourPalm

I want the XP Egroup downloadable via avant-go so that I can read it offline without all the crap cluttering my screen. Ideally just a list of the most recent 50 postings listed in a page. This should work for palm and ipaq.

Notes: This feels easy, and I can feel that further stories might be to expand to other yahoo groups, or configure the settings so you get only the postings you haven't seen since you last downloaded.

Anyone interested in participating with this and future palm/ipaq stories? I'm sure its an easy one to implement.
My estimate is about 2 days (thinking servlet with crude content extraction). Maybe a spike? Can outlook manage more than one mailbox?
TimBacon enjoys using AvantGo? and has done some Palm development -- let's get in touch!

Rather than do content extraction from the web, wouldn't subscriing with a POP3 address the servlet can poll and discard all but the last fifty be easier ? --AcF

Strangely enough, I'm in the process of putting to gether something quite like this for reading my personal email while at a customer site. BT have recently implemented a paranoid firewall-block on POP/IMAP traffic, and I dislike all the web mail front-ends I have seen so far, so I'm putting together a simple servlet to grab recent mail and build a RDF document which I can view using any RDF-aggregator portal. It would be very easy to provide a simple stylesheet on the server to make the RDF data available as a compact web page for portables. --FrankCarver
