XPDay3Stories

These are an initial set of stories for the XPDay website. Please comment:

1. We want to display essential information about the event SO THAT people will want to book a place:

• dates/times
• location(s)
• number of seats available/total capacity
• marketing info - link to last year's event; event schedule/timetable; prices
• how to book

2. We want to display sponsors' Logos with clickthrus to their sites SO THAT they will give us money

3. We want to store information about people who visit the site SO THAT we can create lists to help organise the event.

• the email address of people who wish to be keep informed about the event, but have not yet booked
• details of people who have booked, details of their booking, whether they've been invoiced, whether their money has been received.

4. We want to allow people to do on-line booking using their credit cards SO THAT we can collect their money. We expect 90% of bookings to be made this way. While making a booking we need to obtain details of the days delegates wish to attend, the tutorials delegates wish to attend, and any special requirements delegates might have (diet/access).

5. We want to allow XPDay3 Committee members to create a booking (as for 4) without using a credit card SO THAT we can raise an invoice for companies that do not use credit cards. We expect only 10% of bookings to be made this way. People using this facility will 1) send an email to will stott who will 2) email them back an application form that they will 3) post to Duncan who will 4) distribute to various committee members for processing.

6. We want to generate a list of delegates who have made a booking but not been sent a registration pack + invoice SO THAT we can send them this information. We want to update a delegate's information when this has been done.

7. We want to generate a list of delegates who have been sent an invoice but payment has not yet been received in our bank account (by either cheque or the credit card agent, Worldpay) SO THAT we can chase late payments. We want to update a delegate's information when payment has been received.

8. We want to be able to reserve places for speakers so that they get included in catering numbers but do not have to pay to get in
