After a couple of full XtC sessions with much cross-talk, would anyone care to stand up and talk to the whole group (with / without laptop) about some aspect of XP? -- TimBacon

I second this. My suggested topic would be: "Just how easy is it to write tests? - tools and mindsets for getting those tests written with minimal effort" -- NeilThorne

Ah. A personal favourite. I love TestDrivenDevelopment, but hate trying to retrofit tests to existing piles of sh- er, spaghetti code. Writing tests-first is so easy that you forget that developers aren't supposed to like testing, writing them last is like having an arse-kicking contest with a porcupine. --DarrenH

  • OliBye is happy to do TestDrivenDevelopment live on stage. How about "TestDrivenDevelopment with EasyMock? and Eclipse".

OliBye also wrote: The talk I've been hearing is for some of the money to be spent on getting in some speakers. So this Tuesday lets get some final ideas for speakers we'd like to have. I also propose we organise an evening of 20 minute demos.

  • Eclipse merge tool.
  • Bicycle repair man.
  • Self
They'll probably turn into 30 minutes with q&a. We'd need an LCD projector (connextra) and screen, (I think the pub has one, if not connextra again).

Why restrict ourselves to just one evening? -- TimBacon

TimBacon also tried to get this topic started back in March under the heading MonthlySpeakers. ³³agent³Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 4.0; T312461)³RegularSpeakers
