What I do

At the beginning of September, I decided it was time for me to start creating Value for myself, as opposed to creating it for somebody else. What does this mean? I am currently coaching in Boston and will be back in the UK at the end of September. If you have clients struggling to write stories or kick start the XP heart beat or suffering from Analysis Paralysis, give me a shout!

What I like about XP

I am personnally a big fan of the management practices of XP (not so involved in the technical ones, although I still buy them).

Things I have tried recenlty

In fact, I have been so impressed by the results I got so far by using just these management practices that I decided to try and take them outside the IT function and see if they worked there as well.

Guess what? They do work for other geek types!! I have presented a case study on this at XP Day this year.

The slides are yet not available on the XP day web site, so I'll post them here in the meantime (see attachment at the bottom of the page).

Where I express myself on XP and XA

I go to conferences, run XP Games, read and participate to yahoo groups

In terms of conferences and events, these are the past and future conferences I was/will be involved in:

* December 2003 >> XP Day, London, UK: Co-animation of an XP Game with Pascal Van Cauwenberghe and Vera Peeters
* June 2004 >> XP 2004, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany: Co-animation an XP Game with Vera Peeters and Ivan Moore.
* June 2004 >> Agile SIG, Paris, France: Presentation of "Agile egg: vers une organisation Agile" to French attendance
* September 2004 >> Thames Valley Agile SIG: Co-animation of an XP Game with Rachel Davies , David Putman and James Fellows
* November 2004 >> XP Day, London, UK: Presentation of "eXtreme Analysis: the road to eXtreme Business value" for the first time followed by an interesting discussion on the extreme programming yahoo group.
* June 2005 >> XP 2005, Sheffield, UK: Co-animation of an XP Game with Pascal Van Cauwenberghe, Ivan Moore, Vera Peeters
* September 2005 >> Agile Business Conference: Presentation of some extensions of the "eXtreme Analysis approach within larger Programmes context".

I also started a blog in October 2004. I am pretty sure a lot I will talk about there is XP and XA.

No web site yet, thinking about it, but I have got an email ;-) .

Wanabe what?

Full time Business Value Delivery coach (I am one step away from that now!)... because delivering projects using XP is great for the project. Delivering Value using XA and XP is great for the organisation!

This attachment/presentation is inspirational, I wish I could have been there but I was under a waterfall at the time -- OliBye.
