LeonMoonen

Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I'm in a group that investigates Interactive Software Development and Renovation.

My homepage is at: http://www.cwi.nl/~leon/

My main research interest is the design and development of advanced tools and methods needed for the development, maintenance and renovation of large software systems

Most of my current projects are centered around the development of language-centered, reusable technology for exploring software systems. In particular, this includes program analysis techniques to support reverse engineering and program understanding such as island grammars and type inferencing for ill-typed languages. In the past, I have worked on a language-neutral framework for data flow analysis.

On the software process side, I am interested in Agile Methods in general, and Extreme Programming (XP) in particular. We have analzed the way in which reverse engineering tools can help to make the transition from legacy systems to the XP. We have studied the improvement of test code based on test smells and refactorings and the relation between refactoring and testing. ³host³³date³June 24, 2002³LeonMoone ³³agent³Mozilla/4.77 en?
