Possibly not really allowed here since no longer resident in the UK. However, I still have the passport... Got tired of London in 2000 and moved to Gothenburg, Sweden where I've been working for Carmen Systems ever since. Introduced XP in 2001 and would find it hard to work another way now. Have been present at XP2001, XP2002 and XP2003, with a poster at XP2002 (described at OneSuitePractitionersReport) and a paper at XP2003 describing our XP experiences. To many practitioners, we have XP but not as you know it. Briefly, we have not implemented the practice of Unit Testing: instead we use a comprehensive AcceptanceTest suite at the heart of the code-test-refactor cycle, verifying correctness on a scale of minutes. To some (the "fundamentalists", like Ron Jeffries) this makes us Not XP, but with the majority of the other XP practices implemented and compensatory practices for the lack of Unit Testing, I believe that we do XP. Here are some more details on our process, which I originally titled AcceptanceTestDrivenDevelopment, until I discovered that others had adopted this name for something quite different. Here, then I've called it AcceptanceTestOnlyDevelopment. My other interest is in exchanging ideas with others in order to learn and improve the excellent XP process and examine its success in different domains. My wife, EmilyBache, is also an XP Developer at Astra Zeneca in Gothenburg, and this summer we came up with a novel idea: the XpExperienceExchange. Mail me at "geoff dot bache at pobox dot com".
