Perhaps those of us who can't make it might like to contribute some QuestionsForErichGamma.

To avoid a conflict of loyalties between this event and the Ivar Jacobson talk organised by BCS OOPS on the same day, and solve the venue problem at the same time, I have suggested combining the two events at UK House on Oxford Street (home of LogicaCMG). There have been no votes against and quite a few in favour. I am only awaiting the agreement of the two speakers to this plan. Ivar was in any case only available until 7pm on the day, so we were going to have to find a second speaker to occupy the slot between 7pm and 8pm. I don't think LogicaCMG will mind particularly if it goes on a little later -- ImmoHuneke .

Ok, hold that thought. I'm talking to IvanMoore and ImmoHuneke about this and hopefully we can make a decision today (Wed 26) about what is going to happen.... Ok, we've decided we want to try to use the same venue, so... we're waiting to make sure that's ok with Erich (Thur 27). Can anyone suggest a pub nearby?

We normally adjourn to The Champion, 13 Wells St, at the corner of East Castle Street. It's small but hey! the beer is cheap! We can usually find space in the upstairs bar. -- ImmoHuneke

Something else on my 'wish list' is: could we ask for a larger room for the venue to fit in a few more?

Ian, your wish is our command - I have checked with LogicaCMG and they can make the adjacent room available too on this occasion. Once I find out what the additional capacity is I will move the corresponding number of people's names up from the waiting list on this page. -- ImmoHuneke
