Adabas/Natural developer since 1992 - jumped to Java for a living in 1999 and have dabbled with SmallTalk courtesy of the UK's Open University M206 course.

I became more and more interested in XP with regard to Java, culminating in an awesome few weeks being taught by Duncan Pierce (homepage) courtesy of my employer and IBM.

A few Real Life episodes later, and I find myself whisked from the UK to Australia, (via China and a few other places http://www.trekshare.com/members/cbarham), with no work permit, a nice computer and time on my hands. So I've been playing with Squeak when the air conditioning allows; currently looking for an open source project or similar to keep my skills current and do what I enjoy, coding, whilst waiting for a work permit :-)

Pleasantly surprised to see the XTC in Brisbane....
