Depending on my mood, I am either an IT professional who does music in my spare time, or a musician who does IT in my spare time... The IT tends to pay better, or, at least it did until very recently. I am also something of a Free Software nut, but I have found it impossible to be what RMS would call a "saint" and still pay the mortgage.

For the last 2 1/2 years I was a Senior Consultant at Valtech Ltd. But I shall now be branching out on my own. As well as working on various projects for Valtech's clients, I also delivered courses in OOAD, J2EE, XML, UP and related areas.

I heard about eXtreme Tuesday some round the end of 2002, but was attending a music course on Tuesday evenings at the time. So my first visit was on 26/08/2003. It was not what I expected - it was not what I expected at all - it was far far better. Maybe it was just the subject being discussed, Domian Driven Design , something close to my heart (that really sounds sad!).
