An attempt to identify such metrics and how the feedback they provide can be used to tune processes and teams.
At the moment the only work by anyone else that I've been able to find on the subject is by Bill Krebs of IBM. This http://sern.ucalgary.ca/eeap/wp/bk-position-2003.html
is a web page showing the latest results he's gathered.
