am: more of an XpSkeptic (should probably attend the next XtC, and get over my XpScepticism)

My main point of concern about the XP approach is that although I like, encourage and try to adopt (as much as possible, and in non-XP format) 3 out of the 4 activities listed on the DoingIt page, I feel that DoingTheSimplestThing is potentially very limiting to the reusability of the developed components and the openness of the resulting design/system.
