How about we keep the page here, now that the Niki's no longer available? - what is the news on Niki, anyone, in a nutshell ??

According to Richard Drake, Niki has become a purely internal resource at Objective. He is apparently thinking of setting one up for public use 'sometime soon'.

I'm meeting Wednesday 13th October 1999 to talk about putting niki on okchicken, and help him out with some servery things. -- OliBye. He's got a big customer for Niki and is going to develop it a little further for them.

The url for the niki xp discussion site will be unveiled this Thursday if Tom Gilb and one or two other people elect not to take part in a more "exclusive" discussion for a bit. Either way we should have something very soon. I'm happy to chat to Oli and others about how to "merge" with this wiki or not, as appropriate.

Hope the XP talk at Sun was a blast btw.

Great. Tom Gilb has decided not to participate in this new niki discussion of lightweight methods including XP. Nick Simons has said he would like to chat to Kent though - and Michael Jackson has said he would like to follow this debate. I would like to bring in senior method thinkers to this group and somehow not put them off - as Jim Coplien was on Wiki. Any ideas on how to go about this? --RichardDrake
