According to some surveys, Java is the language most used by XP teams (that's what I heard at Xp2002).

KeithBraithwaite pointed me at PaulGraham's site for some stuff about ProgrammingLanguages, and I found this article, which I thought was interesting (I'm not saying if I agree/disagree with it). There are other interesting articles too - the site is worth a look.
