We adopting XP at the beginning of the year (2001) and sent a team to the ObjectMentor XP Immersion held at the end of February 2001. All develpment is now done using XP.
Unlike most of the XP teams I have been in contact with we are not a Java shop and our development environment is C++, Windows GUI and COM. Such an enviroment is generally considered a challange to XP and it has made testing and refactoring more difficult than would be the case if we were developing in Smalltalk or Java.
As well as the development environment we also have to other characteristics that are thought problematic to XP; a large (20) development team and a large legacy code base.
However despite these factors the adoption of XP has been a great success.
