Kent Beck referenced a book on DSDM in his article about XP: "XP Embrace Change"
Some things that DSDM has in common with XP:
Short cycles (called time boxes)
Simple design
The system evolves throughout the process
The system design evolves thoughout the process
Don't anticipate on what you might need in future time boxes
Tasks are given priorities. Do the most important task first, and the least important task last.
Close customer-cooperation (though not as close as with XP)
