David Astels (who prefers to be called Dave) is the Master Software Craftsman (if you're a geek) and CEO (if you're a banker of lawyer) of Saorsa Development, Inc. (www.saorsa.com)

Dave is a coauthor of "A Practical Guide to eXtreme Programming" published by Prentice Hall, editor (and primary author so far) of the Test-driven Development edition of The Coad Letter (www.thecoadletter.com). Dave's also working on another book, this one focusing on TDD for Java programmers.

Dave was at XP2001 purely as an attendee. At XP2002? he gave a tutorial (XP41?) and presented a paper on "Refactoring with UML". XP2003?? Stay tuned... there are plans afoot.
