If you can't find somebody to pair with, just get on with it, and we'll be more strict about code coverage. PairedProgramming is obviously faster, and there's no excuse not to if there are other people in the room, but if you're at home alone, and can face your code being ripped to shreds.
The ApacheJakarta project is a good example of OpenSource? people working alone but using tests and small iterations to deliver. Philip is on their list and might be able to offer some insights into how we could apply Testing, Communication and Refactoring with PartTimePairs? (much as it pains me).
