2 things: first, the test-driven lab is a tutorial which demands a lot of preparation, infrastructure and a serious commitment by those who wish to attend it. I'd prefer it to be a value-added event on the second day. Second, a half-day for an extreme hour is totally ludicrous. Just my 2 centimes. JosephPelrine
The programme is very bare bones at the moment and it's likely that we will need to switch sessions around a bit before we get it right. Here's some of the thinking behind the current lineup.
We are trying to make the programme for day1 this year as similar to XpDay last year as we can. As TimM said "why change the programme if it works?". Although some changes have to be made as not all the same speakers will be available and also we have some new ones.
If we move the test-driven lab to day2 the entire contents of stream3 will be different to last year.
we could put XPTools in it's place but maybe this adds more value following the test-driven lab?
we could run both sessions on day2. But if the test-driven lab is in the morning you will have less time. We would also need something to put in the afternoon the practitioners stream in it's place.
we could keep it on day1 but make it a value added session?
Hard to believe but the XHour really does take that long. The morning session is slightly shorter than the afternoon but maybe we should rename it, it's more like an "ideal" hour! --RachelD
I'll be doing the TDD lab with Joseph. It would really be super if we could nail down date/stream in time for me to take advantage of EasyJet? deep discounts, as I'll probably be flying in and out on the same day. -- LaurentBossavit
