  • I had to upgrade to netbeans javacvs release32-BLD34?, but discovered that this has a hard wired FileHandler? when checking things out. I've working in a fix in my own repository but I'm not very happy with the library. I'm still finding it easier to check things in with WinCVS?.
  • I don't have the time to contribute to try to fix up javacvs, so think I'll leave the tool as is.
  • It's made me think that maybe the VisualAgeRepositoryFileSystem might be a better option.

To get it going.

1. Make sure you've got VisualAge installed, it's a VisualAge Tool!

2. Get the source
   • Repository Import the VajCVS? solution from www.okchicken.com/~byeo/downloads/vaj.dat.tar.gz
     • Use this method if you're getting the source for the first time.
   • CVS This is the most up to date.
     • xpdeveloper.com/cgi-bin/wiki.cgi?WebCVS
     • Use this method if you're merging code back into the code base. See ReleasingVajCVS

3. For the tests to work you'll need a local CVS Server running, as the tests go and make sure the files have been created.
   • I used www.cvsnt.org
   • See VajCvsTesting

   • Libraries from their sources. But note I've fixed some bugs in netbeans, these fixes are in the Visual Age Repository.
     1. Get the xpdeveloper testing tools (part of BigBenTools).
     2. Get the javacvs modules for NetBeans? (I built against release32-BLD11?)
