Currently working as a C++ developer at www.digitalbrain.com where I have been for 18 months.
We have a pretty Agile environment and I have tried and am trying to push XP practices, but there has not been a full take-up due to (imho)
- too busy cutting the wood to sharpen the saw
- it is felt that refactoring in C++ is too expensive
- no time to build a suite of unit tests for the current code base
Also if it ain't broke don't fix it and our current ad-hoc process is delivering reasonable results so all else is speculation.
