ErnestoGuisado came over from Spain to the UK when a company here offered him the possibility of doing XP using C++. I'd been doing automated acceptance and unit tests, using MockObjects and daily builds, but couldn't convince my sponsors to allow me to do PairProgramming (at least not officially). Now I do.

You can reach me at and triumvir.org.

Which company? Argo Group [www.argogroup.com], located in Elstead, Surrey. Developing multiplatform (2000/Linux/Solaris) C++ software that allows web sites to target all the variety of wireless devices out there.

So, will we see any of you at the ExtremeTuesdayClub? We'd like to hear more about what you've been doing.

Yes, I wanted to be there for XtC20010724, but the 1 hour drive + the problem of where to leave my car was too much for me. I'll try again next week (XtC20010731).

Several things made me want to work for them:

  1. PairProgramming

  2. DoingUnitTesting

  3. Made me write some code during the interview

  4. Used RubyLanguage (I had been using it already for >1 year)
  5. Multiplatform product
