What's Up
Background
I've been a student of OOP and OOD for the last six years, and have become a big fan of many Smalltalk spin-offs (CRC-based design, patterns like MVC, JavaUnit?, XP, HotDraw?, frameworks /a la Johnson...) I like the way they emphasize good cruftsmanship over blind faith in bleeding-edge technology. I wish that more people saw the lasting value of these things.
In a former life, I did a PhD that had the title "An Algebraic Theory of Software Interfaces", but please don't hold that against me. These days I'm a reformed subject: I listen, test, code and refactor. I've stopped selling things...
More about me can be found at www.dafydd.net
Thoughts, articles and book references welcome.
